We believe it should be as easy to create a fintech app on Rehive, as it is to set up an e-commerce store on Shopify. Give it a try.

It is expensive, complex, and time-consuming to build financial infrastructure from scratch. For example, building a banking app from scratch costs at least $245K. (Cleveroad)

We launched a consumer bitcoin wallet in 2015 and learned firsthand the struggles of starting a fintech business in South Africa. As a result, we pivoted the business model and founded Rehive in 2016 with the goal to make it easy for other businesses to get started without reinventing the wheel.

Due to regulatory differences between countries all over the world, financial products don’t reach everyone on the same scale that we’ve seen with apps like Facebook or Whatsapp. All the while, increasingly more assets are being digitized, and more people are being connected to the internet. We believe the world needs better tools to make it easy to innovate in finance as financial services needs are becoming more complex, niche, and localized.

Our products are used by new fintech startups, marketplaces, payment services providers, retailers and banks all over the world.

Rehive is backed by leading investors including Tim Draper (investor in Tesla, Skype, Twitch), Jed McCaleb (co-founder of Ripple and Stellar), Jesse Powell (CEO of Kraken) and more.
